What is the Colonnade Club?

The Colonnade Club is a social club for New and Young Masons based in the Province of South Wales. Our aims are to provide young masons with an opportunity to meet with likeminded brethren around their own age through social, masonic and none masonic events.

Do you have to be a Freemason to Join?

Yes. Membership of the Colonnade Club is dependant on you being a Freemason.

What are the requirements to join?

You must be a Freemason of or with links to the Masonic Province of South Wales and under the age of 45.

You must be a subscribing member of a Lodge or Chapter with the Province of South Wales

I’m new to Freemasonry but over 45. Can I join?

New masons who are over the age of 45 may apply in writing through the club secretary to be considered to join.

This application will be fully considered at the next available meeting of the club committee and the outcome returned to the applicant.

Are you a Lodge?

No, we are not a lodge and have no central base at any masonic centre in the Province.

Where do you meet?

The Colonnade Club is a completely separate and distinct organisation with is Province wide. As such we do not have a central base of operations nor firm affiliation to any of the Masonic centres in South Wales.

Do you help me join other orders?

Although many of our members are in other masonic orders. We do not recruit on their behalf.

The club has its own Holy Royal Arch Chapter (Colonnade Chapter), which we encourage our members to join, but this is completely optional.

How much will it cost me to be a member?

There is an initial joining fee of £20, and an annual subscription of £10. Other than these fees, they are no set financial commitments on our members

How do I pay for my Membership fee or Subscriptions

The club’s preferred method of receiving payments is though our GoCardless account. This is a free service offered to all members that automatically collects your Subscriptions very much like a Direct Debit.

We are also setup to receive instant Bank Transfers or cheques for one off payments.

I’m interested to join but don’t live in the Province of South Wales. Is this possible?

It is still possible to join the club if you live out of area but in this case you must either work or belong to a Masonic order within the province boundaries.

How am I able to show people I’m a member?

Members are able to order club Lapel pins, cufflinks and ties from the committee or online shop.

Can I wear my club merchandise at my lodge meetings?

You are welcome and encouraged to wear your Club Lapel pin and cufflinks at any and occasions, but the club tie is not currently authorised to be worn in lodge meetings with the exception of Colonnade Chapter.
